Unto Justification of Life

‘Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. ‘ Romans 5:18

It is very gainful to know that, the benefits of Righteousness; what it has procured for us. From the passage above, two opposites are explained and a judicial argument is given. First, the offence of one is mentioned. This was in reference to our pristine Father; Adam! He offended; that is, lapsed or deviated from truth and uprightness when God told him not to eat of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The result was the coming of judgement on all men!

The purpose of the free gift was to unleash, release and supply the benefits of the JUSTIFICATION of LIFE. Justification here is to mean, the act of God declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to him. It includes abjuring to be righteous. .

Secondly, as and in the same way and manner this happened, the Righteousness which is, the equitable deed: that which one has deemed right so as to have the force of law; what he has established, and ordained by law; his judicial decision and sentence – the free gift came upon all men! This is the favourable judgment by which he acquits man and declares him acceptable to Him.

The purpose of the free gift was to unleash, release and supply the benefits of the JUSTIFICATION of LIFE. Justification here is to mean, the act of God declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to him. It includes abjuring to be righteous. It means also to be acquitted for Christ’s sake. Life as used here simply is to mean the absolute fullness of vitality (life), both essential and ethical, which belongs to God. Brethren, God has acquitted you and freed you from guilt. God has abjured you to be righteous so that you hold and partake the absolute fullness of the life which belongs to God!
