“God’s Will Is Above Yours!”

‘And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.’ Luke 9:23

Self-denial is an important part of the Christian life. Jesus sacrificed His life for us and He demands that we die to ourselves that we might experience the new life He has provided. We do this first by recognizing that we can’t save ourselves by our own effort and, second, by trusting God – not self – for salvation. Then daily, we need to deny our own wisdom and seek God’s wisdom and direction for our lives.

Self-denial is only good when we are denying ourselves for the singular purpose of exalting Jesus and His will for us in some area of our life. Some have made a religion out of self-denial and find pleasure in their denial – not in Jesus Lordship. This leads to legalism and bondage, which Paul condemned as will worship, Colossians 2:23. We are told not only to deny ourselves, but to ‘deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus.’

The cross is what Jesus died on. There are circumstances in our lives which, like the cross of Jesus, give us the opportunity to die to ourselves each day. These are not things like sickness, poverty, etc., for which Jesus’ atonement provided redemption, but rather things like persecution and the constant battle between our flesh and our born-again spirit. The cross that we must bear is to take God’s Word; which is His will and exalt it above our own will in each situation every day.

Petition.

Father! Today they get to know that your will is above theirs! They practice self-denial all the days of their lives! They deny themselves for the sake of Christ; to glorify him alone! Thank you! Amen!

What He Says

About: The Holy Spirit

“He Shall Teach You All Things “

‘But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.’ John 14:26

Comment:

It is the Holy Ghost that teaches all Things. He is the instructor, trainer and guide concerning all matters – spirit, soul and body!

It is the Holy Ghost that brings to your  remembrance all things that the Lord has told. He reminds you of that revelation that you got; where the scripture you read is; or what that man of God taught!

Verdict:

‘The HOLY SPIRIT is the TEACHER! ‘

Confessing The Name of God

“As I Received The Gift, I Minister “

Father! As I have received the gift, even so I minister the same. This I do as a good steward. Of the manifold grace of God. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

Thank you for putting me in remembrance. You have stirred me up in the gift of God in me. That I received by the putting on of hands. For I say, through the grace given unto me. I do not think of myself more highly than I ought.

I think soberly, as God has dealt to me man the measure of faith. Now I am the body of Christ, and a  member in particular. The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit with all. Now concerning spiritual gifts, Lord, I am not  ignorant.

Commitment statement;

‘Father! As I have been GRACED with GIFTS, I Minister likewise! Amen! ‘
